Chemical Peels in New Jersey
A professional medical grade chemical peels dramatically promotes cell renewal, resulting in smoother, tighter skin. It reduces surface bacteria, resulting fewer acne breakouts, brightens the skin and lightens hyperpigmentation. Hydration of the skin can also be achieved while wrinkles are dramatically reduced. It is at the discretion of the esthetician as to the appropriate peel as all skin types vary.
Even-Skin Tone System
Even-Skin Tone will improve your skin’s texture and correct hyper-pigmentation through a medicated masque. The best part is there is no downtime with this treatment! In fact, this is perfect for busy professionals who look for appointments that can be completed during their lunch break!
Let’s get to the specifics. The Even-Skin Tone is a 15 minute painless procedure in which a medical masque is applied to the face. Only slight redness and or slight peeling can be experienced directly after your treatment. In addition, this peel comes with an at home kit to encourage the remainder of your damaged skin to peel away and to continue reaping the benefits of your treatment at home. You will notice the benefits from this peel after one treatment, but we recommend three treatments for optimal results.
Mask of pregnancy, melasma, sun spots, acne scarring, hyperpigmentation—there are many names for facial discoloration. One thing is true about all of the above and that is that brown discoloration of the skin can come at any age and can get better and/or worse with age and environmental exposure—and is very difficult to get rid of, until now.
How does the Even-Skin Tone System work?
The superficial peel involves a medicated masque and an at-home regimen. The masque is applied during an office visit where it is compounded freshly by our nurse to ensure its potency and reliability. You remove the masque at home after a required length of time that is dependent upon your skin type. There is an easy-to-follow, but strict, at-home regimen involving the application of several Melanage™ products following masque removal.

What to expect during your Obagi Blue Peel treatment
After you are made comfortable, your skin will be thoroughly prepped and cleansed by your skin care expert. Any pain relief, if indicated, will be administered. Then, one to four coats of the Obagi Blue solution will be applied to the treatment area. As we’ve established, the number of coats will depend on your skin’s condition and your specific aesthetic goals.
During the procedure, you may experience a mild burning sensation. Fans can relieve this discomfort, and are available for your use during the procedure if needed. The entire process usually takes 20-45 minutes. Immediately post-treatment, your skin will retain a bluish tint, but this should subside within 24-48 hours.
How does Obagi Blue Peel work?
The active ingredient in Obagi Blue Peel is TCA (Trichloracetic Acid), which is used in different proportions specific to your own unique needs. The Blue Peel application allows your practitioner to safely and effectively remove the damaged surface layers of skin from your face or other parts of your body.
How is Obagi Blue Peel applied?
Obagi Blue Peel treatments can be given at 8-week intervals until the desired effect is achieved. For most patients, 1-2 peels are sufficient. Once the desired level of correction is reached, maintenance treatments are recommended to ensure long-term Obagi Blue Peel benefits.
Who is a candidate for an Obagi Blue Peel?
A wide range of individuals can benefit from this chemical peel. Those who are in good health, over 18, and would like to address any of these common problems are all potential candidates for Obagi Blue Peel:
- Fine lines
- Age spots
- Sun spots
- Skin laxity
When will I see results?
Immediately after your peel, you may experience mild swelling. Within 2 or 3 days, your skin will begin to peel and will continue to do so for roughly 7 to 10 days. Once the peeling has ceased, the dramatic results of your treatment will immediately become apparent.
How long does an Obagi Blue Peel last?
The corrective effects of an Obagi Blue Peel are permanent but, unfortunately, cannot stop time. Consequently, after your first peel you may require another to achieve your desired level of rejuvenation. If you follow your prescribed skincare regimen, a maintenance treatment every 6-12 months can keep your skin radiant.
